Melaka police and Bomba chiefs convey Hari Raya wishes

MELAKA: The state police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Jalil Hasan and Fire and Rescue Department director Kamarulzaman Malix Abdullah are wishing all readers of The Star a Selamat Hari Raya.

DCP Abd Jalil also assured motorists using the North-South expressway from Alor Gajah to the Jasin stretch that his men would do all that they can to ensure their safety.

He added that patrols would be intensified along 11 trunk roads in the state identified as fatal stretches, while more police officers would be stationed at tourist hotspots.

Meanwhile, Kamarulzaman said 10 fire stations in the state would ensure a prompt response time during "Ops Raya" that began on June 18 and ends on July 2.
