KOTA KINABALU: Rangers protecting high-risk conservation areas in Sabah are now better armed with the state Forestry Department doubling the number of firearms available for its personnel.

Sabah Chief Conservator of Forests Datuk Sam Mannan said the department had increased the number of weapons for its personnel from 45 to 90.
