Eight nabbed for illegal fishing

Four boat captains and four foreign workers, aged between 20 and 45, were nabbed about nine nautical miles west of Pulau Talang between 1pm and 2pm on Monday.

LUMUT: The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) has arrested eight men, including four Myanmar nationals, and seized four boats for illegal fishing activities.

Maritime 3 district director Maritime Kapt Wan Mat Wan Abdullah said in a statement that the four boat captains and four foreign workers, aged between 20 and 45, were nabbed about nine nautical miles west of Pulau Talang between 1pm and 2pm on Monday.
