MOURNERS at the wake of a father of three were amazed when the man’s friends vowed to take care of his children’s education expenses, Makkal Osai reports.

Nearly 500 people reportedly attended the funeral of well-known activist and member of the Pandamaran Jaya Indian Football Team K. Saravanan from Klang, Selangor.

His friends from the football club and his activist work said they would support the family in any way they could, to honour his contributions to the community.

That included full financial support for his school-going children.

About 100 underprivileged children and elderly residents received gift packets during the wake in honour of Saravanan.
