THE pupils of SJK(T) Kajang made their school and parents proud by winning six gold, two silver and three bronze medals at the 28th International Invention, Innovation and Technology Exhibition (Itex), Malaysia Nanban reported.

Itex 2017, held from May 11 to 13 in Kuala Lumpur, saw 11 teams representing the school.

The winners received their prizes from Deputy Education Minister Datuk P. Kamalanathan.

Teacher A. Thanges said he and the pupils were thankful to the school headmaster, parent-teacher association and other teachers who helped out with preparations for the event.

> The daily also reported that police arrested two workers after a fire destroyed parts of SJK(T) Ladang St Leonard in Port Dickson, Negri Sembilan.

The fire, which broke out on Friday, is suspected to be the result of animosity between the two workers.

Police have also identified a foreigner, who was captured on CCTV cutting open the fence and entering the school.

A lot of school equipment was destroyed in the blaze, according to a police report lodged by the headmaster.
