KUCHING: The exemption of the cabotage policy in Sarawak will adversely affect the local shipping industry and may lead to job losses, says Sarawak DAP.

Its chairman Chong Chieng Jen said the 30-year-old policy had already been liberalised in recent years to allow ships from China, the Middle East and other countries to come directly to Sarawak without going to Port Klang first.
