KOTA KINABALU: Sabah may consider a proposal to make the annual Kaamatan or Harvest Festival a national event with a public holiday for the whole country.
Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan said the suggestion by former Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal might be brought up to the state government’s central leadership if the opportunity arises.
