PUTRAJAYA: A senior director of the Malaysian Islamic Economic Development Foundation (Yapeim) has been remanded five days to help probe allegations that he abused his position for personal gain.

Magistrate Nik Isfahanie Tasnim Wan Ab Rahman allowed the application by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) yesterday for the 47-year-old to be remanded for investigation.
