Shop assistant gets 13 years' jail for supporting IS

KUALA LUMPUR: A 21-year-old shop assistant has been sentenced by the High Court here to 13 years in jail for supporting and possessing materials related to the Islamic State (IS) terror group.

Azizi Abdullah admitted to knowingly support the acts of terrorism involving explosives with the intent to intimidate the public through the Telegram app on his mobile phone.
