SUNGAI PETANI: Police have reclassified the case against the driver of the pickup involved in an accident which killed a police narcotics chief and his wife to Section 44 of the Road Transport Act 1987 for driving under the influence of drugs and causing death.
The 37-year-old woman, a vegetable wholesaler, faces three to 10 years in jail, a fine of between RM8,000 and RM20,000 and a five-year suspension of her driving licence if convicted of the offence.
