Salesman files release application against Poca detention


KUALA LUMPUR: A salesman who was detained under the Prevention of Crime Act 1959 (Poca) has filed an application in the High Court here to secure his release from alleged unlawful detention.

R. Vishnu Moorthy, 38, named Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani, the Inspector-General of Police, Home Minister and deputy public prosecutor as the respondents in the application for a writ of habeas corpus.
