Jamal and nine Red Shirts charged with rioting


KUALA LUMPUR: Red Shirts leader Datuk Seri Jamal Yunos and nine of his supporters claimed trial in the Sessions Court in Ampang to two counts of insulting behaviour and rioting last year.

Jamal, together with Reza Jamin, 37, Ariffin Abu Bakar, 47, Mohd Shabudin Abu Hassan, 47, Izzrul Idris, 32, Hasannen Zikri Harizan, 24, Mohd Faiz Amirul Mahsan, 22, Mohd Yusoff Mohd Sharif, 26, Abd Razak Hassan, 29, and R. Balaguru, 30, were named in a charge as members of an illegal assembly and for having used violence when carrying out their purpose.
