No flagfall fee for using taxi services via apps

PETALING JAYA: There will be no flagfall charge for those who call for taxi services via apps, which means cheaper fare for the passengers.

This is among several new provisions under the proposed amendments to the Land Public Transport Act to regulate e-hailing services which would be tabled in Parliament next week. Currently, the flagfall charge for local taxis is between RM3 and RM6.
