Tourism Minister Datuk Nazri Aziz visited the Green Ridge Battle Site in Kampar on a tourism programme. A reenactment shows the defence of an underground tunnel.

INDIAN and Malaysian Army officers are familiar with the Battle of Kampar as it is part of their military history, when studying the Japanese invasion.

Indian Army veteran Major Jagdeep Kairon said his interest was aroused to visit the battlefield of one of the fiercest actions fought by the combined Malay, Indian and British troops.
