PORT KLANG: Malaysia’s waters and surrounding coastline have become safer in recent years because of the hard work put in by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA), said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak (pic).
According to the Prime Minister, the International Maritime Bureau's (IMB) annual report in 2000 had identified the Straits of Malacca as one of the main areas with a concentration for pirates outside of the Indonesian waters.
