PETALING JAYA: Seven cops, four firemen and a Kajang council officer were among 12 people rounded up on suspicion of taking bribes to protect nightspots which offered “extra services”.
Sources said intelligence over the past three months showed that these enforcement officers were each getting between RM300 and RM10,000 monthly to protect these illegal operators in two districts in Selangor.
