Former federal minister requested to be Sabah CM, says Najib

SANDAKAN: A former minister requested to be appointed Sabah chief minister and when he failed to get the post, left Umno, Prime Miniter Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak (pic) revealed.

In a thinly-veiled reference to former Umno vice-president Datuk Mohd Shafie Apdal, Najib said the minister was merely pursuing his personal agenda.
