EAIC to probe Thanaseelan's custodial death

KUALA LUMPUR: The Enforcement Agency Integrity Commission (EAIC) says it is investigating the death of 43-year-old detainee M. Thanaseelan at the Bukit Sentosa police station lockup in Hulu Selangor on Feb 25.

In a statement, the EAIC said it had set up a probe team to, among others, determine whether there was any misconduct, including treatment of a criminal nature, by police officers in the handling of Thanaseelan.
