Malaysians travelling to India facing problems with big rupee notes

PETALING JAYA: Those travelling to India may not be able to bring the change they want as only the larger Rs2,000 (about RM133) notes are available in the country.

This comes after more than three months since India overhauled its financial system, including scrapping some denominations and introducing new banknotes of Rs500 (about RM34) and Rs2,000.
