Syed Hamid won’t extend stint as OIC special envoy to Myanmar


KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar (pic) has decided not to take up a contract extension as Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) special envoy to Myanmar.

He said the Jed­­dah-based OIC had offered a three-month renewal for the job but he declined the of­fer as it was too short a pe­­riod for him to perform his du­­ties.
