PUTRAJAYA: The upcoming official visit of Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Abdulaziz Al-Saud to Malaysia soon will have a major impact and open various opportunities for Malaysians, said Datuk Seri Abdul Rahman Dahlan.
The Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department said the King’s visit was among the matters discussed in his meeting with the Saudi Arabian Minister of Energy, Industry and Natural Resources, Khalid A. Al-Falih in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, yesterday.
“Detailed discussion with the Foreign Affairs Ministry is being carried out to ensure the smooth running of the visit,” he said in a statement.
Abdul Rahman is in Riyadh to attend the meeting and 7th Symposium of the International Energy Agency, International Energy Forum and Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries.
Abdul Rahman said his meeting with Khalid A. Al-Falih was to further strengthen bilateral ties, trade and economic planning between the two nations.
The meeting was also attended by world leaders, and oil and gas and energy experts. — Bernama
