PETALING JAYA: In a bid to reduce road damages including potholes, the Public Works Department (JKR) has barred the use of lower concentration bitumen mixture in road resurfacing jobs.
Effective May 1, JKR is imposing a ban on bitumen with penetration grade 80-100, and it only allows bitumen grade 60-70 in a move to reduce damages caused by fatigue failure.
