KUALA LUMPUR: Two children and a woman died after being trapped in another house fire, this time in Kepong.

A spokesman from the Fire and Rescue Department said the incident occurred at Jalan Wangsa 2/4, Taman Wangsa Permai at around 11.20pm, Monday.

"We dispatched two fire engines and 20 personnel to the scene and found the ground floor of the double storey house on fire.

"We also were notified that three victims were trapped upstairs," said the spokesman when contacted.

He said Fire and Rescue Department personnel got the flames under control and rushed in to try and rescue the victims.

The three victims have been identified as Lam Yan Yi, seven, Ng Zi Xuan, 10, and and foreign woman Sok Srey, 29.

"The ground floor of the house was 80% destroyed in the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation," he said.

Earlier this month, four members of a family were killed in a house fire in USJ2, Subang Jaya.
