PETALING JAYA: Malaysia is committed to combating human trafficking in the country, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi (pic).

Dr Ahmad Zahid, who is also Home Minister, said in a statement on Wednesday that the Council for Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants (Mapo), through integrated operations with various agencies, had successfully convicted 33 people involved in 100 cases in 2016.
