GEORGE TOWN: Laying down sheets or newspapers on the ground to sit on, hundreds of beggars lined the road leading up to the Thnee Kong Tnua Temple in Air Itam to beg for alms from devotees.
Some of the devotees making their way to the temple to pay homage to Jade Emperor God on Saturday gave red packets while others handed out coins from bags they carried.
