India-based trust shares views on Penang’s golden chariot


GEORGE TOWN: The new golden chariot is making news all the way to India with the Arupadai Veedu Trust, which manages the six abodes of Lord Muruga in Tamil Nadu, opposing it.

United Hindu Religious Council spokesperson M.V. Mathiyalagan claimed that according to what was stated in a letter by the trust dated Jan 21, street processions for golden chariots involving all Murugan temples should be prohibited.
