KOTA KINABALU: A senior police officer who was accused of abusing his position by awarding a food-catering tender worth RM432,000 to his nephew's company two years ago has been discharged and acquitted.
Sessions Court Judge Abu Bakar Manaf handed down the decision after the prosecution failed to prove a prima facie case and ordered ACP Abd Radzak Abd Ghani (pic), 55, to be discharged and acquitted without his defence being called.
