Woman among five charged with man's murder in Johor

KOTA TINGGI: Five people, including a woman, face the death penalty after they were charged with the murder of a man late last year.

The accused, Md Ropi Puteh, 53, Abu Bakar Mahamad, 38, Mohd Fardli Johana, 33, Mohd Najib Zohari, 31, and Siti Syariza Ibrahim, 24, were charged Monday with committing the offence together with another person who is still at large.

They allegedly murdered one Md Az'ari Sain, 39, between 11pm on Nov 29, 2016, and 9.50am on Dec 4, 2016, in Tanjung Buai waters.  

No plea was recorded after the charge was read to them before magistrate Mazana Sinin.
