KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Inbound Tourism Association (Mita) is targeting more expatriates to holiday in the country as the ringgit plunges against the US dollar.

Association president Uzaidi Udanis said Malaysia has a huge group of expatriates working in the country.

“From our survey, most of the expatriates do not know of places to go apart from Bukit Bintang when Malaysia has a lot more to offer,” he told reporters after announcing the second Mita Travel Fair 2017 here yesterday.

Uzaidi said the association is targeting RM20mil in transaction for its upcoming three-day domestic tourism exhibition.
