Hovid issues recall for Ternolol 50 hypertension tablets

IPOH: Hovid Bhd has issued a recall for its Ternolol 50 tablets for hypertension sufferers with immediate effect. 

The pharmaceutical company said in a statement on Friday that it was recalling the product with the batch number BG 04645. 

When contacted, a spokesperson said the company apologises to any high blood pressure patients who have purchased the tablets from clinics, pharmacies and hospitals. 

"We will assist the patients to return the product to their respective clinics, pharmacies and hospitals," she said. 

She urged customers and those who had bought the product to call its pharmacists at the hotline 05-506 0690 from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm. 

Customers could also call 012-507 0396 (Chin Lai Ting), 019-277 1315 (Choong Foo Wah), 012-656 6030 (Cheah Wai Kit), 012-7384114 (Nor Hisham Yusop) or 016-520 2118 (Thomas Wong) over the weekend for more details.
