KUALA LUMPUR: More than half of the 5,333 traffic tickets issued on New Year’s Eve were for speeding and those caught include 179 lorry and 83 bus drivers.
Bukit Aman Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department principal assistant director Supt Mustafa Bakri Salleh said 2,832 summonses were issued for speeding, a serious offence and the biggest cause of accidents.
