PETALING JAYA: The exit to Sri Hartamas along the SPRINT Highway has been temporarily closed due to a sinkhole that requires "urgent repair works".
According to Star Media Radio Traffic, Lingkaran Trans Kota Holdings Bhd's (Litrak) officials sealed off the exit on Thursday morning.
"You are being diverted to the Maarof Interchange to make a U-turn.
"If you're coming from the LDP or NKVE, please make your way to Taman Tun and use the Penchala Link as an alternative," said Star Media Radio Traffic on their Facebook page.
A check at 11am showed SPRINT Highway personnel and workers already on site filling up the hole.
According to a statement by Lingkaran Trans Kota (Litrak), scouring below the pavement resulted in the minor sinkhole at the Kiara Interchance KM4.7 slip road.
The road is expected to be reopened by midnight.
Motorists travelling to Sri Hartamas from Petaling Jaya will be directed straight to the Bangsar turnoff.
They have to use Persiaran Bukit Kiara, passing through the National Science centre or Jalan Tuanku Abdul Halim as an alternative to Sri Hartamas.
