On the mend: Dahlan, who is a popular 70s singer, is undergoing physiotherapy twice a week following his stroke.

PETALING JAYA: Popular 1970s singer Datuk Dahlan Zainuddin (pic) is steadily recovering from a stroke he suffered in June.

His wife Datin Effa Rizan said that Dahlan, 75, had been undergoing physiotherapy twice a week since he was discharged from the Kuala Lumpur Hospital in October.

“Alhamdulillah, he is showing positive changes although it has been quite slow because of his age,” said Effa, 54.

Dahlan, who is widely known for the song Kisah Seorang Biduan, has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital since July 22 after his condition deteriorated.

However, Dahlan’s situation improved and he was discharged from the hospital in October.

Dahlan suffered a stroke on June 29 while in Perlis.

He had gone to the state to attend a breaking of fast function with orphans.
