Home Ministry: No truth to rumour that 700,000 ICs were given to foreigners

PUTRAJAYA: The Government has not provided identity cards to 700,000 foreigners in Johor to become voters in Malaysia, says the Home Ministry.

In a statement Friday, its secretary general Datuk Seri Alwi Ibrahim (pic) said the awarding of citizenship was the highest award from the Malaysian Government.
