KUALA LUMPUR: An unemployed man was charged in a Sessions Court here for seven counts of raping a 14-year-old girl.
Muhammad Faiz Mohammad Basri, 19, was accused of raping the girl at PPR Beringin in Jinjang between Oct 16 and 20 last year.
He was charged under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.
The accused claimed trial before Judge Datin M. Kunasundary on Thursday.
Deputy Public Prosecutor Liyana Zawani Mohd Radzi did not offer bail.
The court later fixed Jan 6 for mention pending appointment of a counsel.
Muhammad Faiz was not represented.
