Najib: Myanmar must uphold universal values enshrined in Asean charter

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia will not go to the extent of cutting diplomatic ties with Myanmar over the Rohingya issue, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak (pic).

However, he said the Government has clearly conveyed to Myanmar that as part of the Asean community, member states must uphold universal values as enshrined in the Asean charter.
