DENGKIL: It is vital for the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) to be transparent and look for points of mutual interests in the proposed amendments to the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act 1965 to avoid misunderstanding and political attacks, said Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.
The Umno vice-president said that the PSC would consist of Muslim and non-Muslim members to study the proposed amendments in the Bill, also known as RUU355.
