Two cops claim trial to bribe charge

IPOH: A police inspector and a corporal from the narcotics division here claimed trial to a charge of taking a RM8,000 bribe from an individual as an inducement to close investigations against him in a drug trafficking case.  

Insp Mohd Faizal Fauzi, 34, and Kpl V. Ravi Chandran, 49, were jointly charged under Section 17(a) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act at the Sessions Court here Thursday.
