PUTRAJAYA: The RM8,000 digital scale purchased by Jerantut Community College cost more than a similar unit bought at RM800, as it is “more sophisticated”, Higher Education Ministry secretary-general Tan Sri Dr Noorul Ainur Mohd Nur said after the controversial purchase was highlighted in the Auditor-General’s Report 2015 (Series 2).
The report revealed that the college paid two prices for the same item, a 1kg digital scale for its aquaculture courses.
