KUCHING: Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi has called on Muslims to use mosques to promote religious tolerance and unity as means to combat Islamophobia in the country.

The Deputy Prime Minister said mosques, being a powerful institution that binds the Islamic community together, should be utilised to advocate peace in Malaysia's multiracial society to stamp out religious and racial bigotry.
