PETALING JAYA: The 2015 Auditor General Report (Series 2) revealed that weaknesses in the management of the Cooking Oil Stabilisation Scheme (COSS) resulted in the Government paying an extra RM2.92mil in subsidies.
The AG's report said that as of April 2016, the Ministry of Plantation Industries and Commodities (MPIC) had approved monthly cooking oil quota amounting to 82,169 metric tons for 25 refineries and 241 packaging companies.
