A GOOD Samaritan, Kamarul Arifin Ab Razak, was heaped with praises by netizens after a video of him rescuing five newborn puppies from the rain went viral, Harian Metro reported.
The 35-year-old said he had to rescue the puppies after seeing the mother in distress trying to rescue her puppies from inside a drain in Pandan Indah, Kuala Lumpur.
“It was heart breaking to see the puppies wet and cold, and they could have drowned as the drain water was flowing rapidly after heavy rain,” he said.
Despite the protective mother trying to attack him, Kamarul received help from other people to rescue all the five puppies, and uploaded a video and pictures on his Facebook hoping for people to adopt the dogs.
His commendable act has been praised by netizens since the picture and video were uploaded on Sunday.
“I only did what any other people would do. I did not think that it would go viral,” he added.
