PETALING JAYA: Social activist Datin Paduka Marina Mahathir (pic) denied that George Soros channeled large sums of money to election watchdog Bersih, describing the billionaire as a “philantrophist who upholds the principles of human rights”.
Marina said that Soros had made contributions to the people of war-torn Bosnia and while it was common for Soros to donate to large-scale charity work, he did not even know of Bersih's existence.
