National PhD registry to stop use of fake ‘Dr’ title

PETALING JAYA: The Higher Education Ministry will establish a registry under the Department of Higher Education for all PhD holders in Malaysia.

The move reflects the ministry’s seriousness in taking action against the use and production of fraudulent academic titles by individuals and organisations.
