KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd suffers about RM64mil in losses annually from power theft, said its asset management senior general manager Muhamad Nazri Pazil.
These were mainly illegal power connections at squatter colonies, he said, adding that there were about 178,000 squatter homes in the state. The connections also caused unstable power supply to other consumers, he added.
