Passengers on aircraft advised to turn off Samsung Galaxy Note 7

PETALING JAYA: The Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) has issued a statement allowing passengers found to be carrying Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones on board airlines if they power down their device.

In a statement issued on Monday by its director-general Datuk Seri Azharuddin Abdul Rahman (pix) on directives for the carriage of the device, the DCA urged airline operators to ensure that passengers do not carry their Note 7 “in the checked baggage, cabin baggage or carry into the cabin”.
