PETALING JAYA: Those who pre-ordered the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 can opt for a full refund or get another Samsung device.
In a statement issued yesterday, Samsung Malaysia urged those who already had the Note 7 to immediately power off their devices.
“The option of refund or exchange to the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge will be made available for the pre-order owners, provided they return their current Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
“The pre-order owners will be contacted by Samsung Customer Service, related mobile network operators or participating retail partners on the details of the refund or exchange programme,” it said.
For inquiries, customers can contact Samsung Malaysia Careline at 1-800-88-7799.
Samsung Electronics on Tuesday called a worldwide halt to production of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphone, citing continued safety concerns.
The warning came a little over a month after the world’s largest smartphone maker announced a global recall of 2.5 million Note 7s.
