A Singaporean woman was jailed for 10 years by the republic’s Court of Appeal for sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl with a sex toy, reported China Press.

The woman, known only as Zunika, 39, was in a relationship with the neighbour’s child, who gave her consent to the sexual act with a dildo on multiple occasions for over two years since 2012.

In April, Zunika, who was diagnosed with gender dysphoria, was acquitted of the charges after the High Court ruled that the particular section of the law she was charged under did not cover women as offenders.

After the prosecution appealed, the apex court overruled the earlier verdict and sentenced Zunika to 10 years’ jail.

The new sentence was meted out as the crux of the offence was directed at an underage victim, regardless of the offender being a male, female or one who has a gender identity issue.

> Parts of a human leg were found inside a crocodile caught in Kota Kinabalu, reported China Press and Oriental Daily.

They were believed to be from a man who was attacked while fishing around midnight last Thursday.

The 4.1m and 250kg reptile was caught by villagers and officers from the Sabah Wildlife Department at the Kampung Langkon river.

It was reported that the villagers had set traps to catch the killer crocodile after the remains of Herry Long was found floating with his lower body missing 1km from where he was last seen the next day.
