Eight-year-old boy trapped in drain, all for RM1

Help at hand: A man trying to calm the eight-year-old boy who got stuck in a drain at his school in Klang.

KLANG: An eight-year-old boy was stuck in a drain covered with iron grating for about 20 minutes when he tried to retrieve his RM1 pocket money which fell into it.

The incident happened at SK Batu Belah at 1pm yesterday when the Year Two pupil’s pocket money fell into the drain, which was covered with gratings.
