Dropping of suit shows Husam, Chang’s allegations without merit, says Azalina

KUALA LUMPUR: The dropping of a class action suit by Matthias Chang and Datuk Husam Musa against companies and individuals in the United States over 1Malaysia Development Berhad shows that their allegations were of no merit and baseless, says Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.

The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department said the suit by Chang, the ex-political secretary of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, and Husam, the former PAS vice-president, was intended to seek cheap publicity and was an abuse of the court process.
